Job summary

Anduril Industries in McHenry, MS is seeking a Manager of Automation Engineering to lead the Controls Engineering team responsible for high‑rate production of Solid Rocket Motors. You will own automation strategy and coordinate with Operations and Manufacturing Engineering to align scope, schedule, and staffing.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in controls, safety, and SCADA integration, with U.S. person status for export‑controlled work.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
8+ years in controls and automation in a production environment.
Experience with Siemens PLC programming (Ladder/Structured Text).
Experience owning scope, budget, and schedule for capital projects.
Experience with Risk Assessments and Controls Safety Design.
Experience integrating with SCADA and OT Networking.
Familiar with NFPA70e electrical safety practices.
Must be a U.S. Person due to export controlled information or facilities.

Responsibilities

Lead the Controls Engineering team supporting Solid Rocket Motor production in McHenry, MS.
Plan, budget, and track capital and continuous improvement projects.
Partner with Operations and Manufacturing Engineering to align scope, schedule, and staffing.
Own internal standards for control system architecture, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
Oversee functional safety projects including risk assessments and safety buyoffs.
Provide visibility to HQ on controls project status, schedule risk, and plant events.
Direct root cause analysis and corrective actions for automation downtime and reliability.
