Job summary

HelloFresh is seeking a Lead Automation Engineer in Phoenix, AZ to design, implement, and improve automation across the fulfillment network. You will partner with vendors, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver autonomous order fulfilment solutions and optimize DC layouts.

You will lead data analytics, create end-to-end design documentation, and drive business cases for CapEx. Strong PLC/WCS/WMS experience and CAD skills are required to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 8+ years in multi-site industrial distribution or manufacturing.
• Experience with Warehouse Conveyance and PLCs.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude and system understanding.
• Experience with WCS/WES and WMS.
• Experience with SQL and data visualization tools.
• Experience with AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and improve automation systems for fulfillment networks.
• Lead automation projects with vendors and system integrators.
• Develop RFQs and requirements for end-to-end design.
• Lead data analytics to measure project success and extract insights.
• Optimize DC layouts, material flows, and automation equipment.
• Own business case justification for CapEx and new tech.
