Job summary

Voith Group's Voith Paper unit in Appleton, Wisconsin, seeks an Electrical Engineering student for an Automation Engineering Intern role. The position is flexible: full-time during school breaks and part-time while attending classes.

You will use CAD to generate schematics, assemble Bills of Materials, perform calculations, and work with Rockwell components to support machine control software development in a collaborative engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an ABET-accredited university pursuing Electrical Engineering or similar degree.
• Industrial experience is a plus.
• Experience with Rockwell components and software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD software to generate schematics and layout drawings.
• Generate Bills of Materials for machine assemblies.
• Performs technical calculations.
• Works with suppliers to specify components.
• Develops software for machine control.
• Read specifications regarding requirements of machinery.
• Follow instructions as provided by other Engineers, Designers, and Managers.
• Communicate work status with Engineering and Project Management staff.
• Interacts with business system as required.
