Job summary

Werner-Electric-Supply-Co invites applications for an Automation Specialist Intern (Summer 2027) in Appleton, WI. You will gain hands-on experience assisting with training, supporting customers, and helping field engineers with demos and projects under mentorship.

Selected interns participate in company-sponsored Lean Six Sigma training, large-scale summer projects, and cross-department shadowing, with potential for year-long internships or full-time roles after graduation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Previous technical support or customer service experience a plus.
• Basic knowledge of industrial controls, sensors, safety products, and automation products desired.

Responsibilities

• Attend and assist with training classes (classroom set up, teachers aid).
• Assist Technical Support Specialist with projects, lab set up and cleanup, locating and transporting demos.
• Attend customer events such as “Counter Days” and technical presentations.
• Other related duties as assigned.
