Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation is seeking an electrical engineering intern to design reliable, functional systems and optimize manufacturing processes. The role focuses on reducing parts in designs to cut costs while maintaining performance.

You will work closely with engineering and manufacturing to deliver documentation and BOMs for new and revised systems. The internship emphasizes collaboration, problem solving, and hands-on experience with CAD tools, wiring schematics, and engineering change

Qualifications

Student working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or engineering related field for the entire duration of the internship.
Minimum GPA 3.0

Responsibilities

Prepare engineering drawings, layouts and schematics using computer aided design software.
Create Bills of Material (BOM).
Select materials for engineered parts.
Dimension and tolerance drawings to ensure proper assembly fit.
Conform to drafting standards and department policies.
Prepare engineering change notices (ECN).
Consult and coordinate with suppliers.
Check own work and that of others.
Maintain knowledge of One World, PRIDE and PC network systems.
Support Customer Service with direction on electrical and multiplexing field problems.
Support manufacturing with direction on electrical and multiplexing questions, features and upgrades.
Support Production Specialists with option configuration.
