Pratt & Whitney in Asheville, NC seeks an Automation Engineer to help establish a formal system delivering measurable manufacturing results through robotics and automation strategy formulation and execution.

You'll develop manufacturing methods, identify optimization opportunities, and work with quality engineering to reform processes, data acquisition, and site standards for controls and automation. US Citizenship is required for government contracts.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent demonstrated experience in Industrial electrical engineering, Computer/ Software engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline and/or 5+ years of experience in automated systems specifically in manufacturing environments
• US Citizenship required due to government contracts
• Ignition SCADA, Databases and Scripting experience

Responsabilidades

• The Automation Engineer is responsible for helping establish a formal system within the Pratt & Whitney manufacturing site located in Asheville, NC to deliver measurable manufacturing results through formal strategy formulation and execution of robotics and automation.
• Contribute to develop and execute manufacturing methods and identify optimization opportunities
• Work closely with manufacturing/quality engineering to reform processes and data acquisition
• Help establish/enforce site standards and specifications of controls, robotics, and automation
• Ethernet networking
• Hardwired components debug
• Standard engineering procedures and documentation
• Applying expertise to technical problem resolution
• The ability to be given direction and work independently while meeting timelines
