Pratt & Whitney in Asheville, NC seeks an Automation Engineer to help establish a formal system delivering measurable manufacturing results through robotics and automation strategy formulation and execution.

You'll develop manufacturing methods, identify optimization opportunities, and work with quality engineering to reform processes, data acquisition, and site standards for controls and automation. US Citizenship is required for government contracts.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent demonstrated experience in Industrial electrical engineering, Computer/ Software engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline and/or 5+ years of experience in automated systems specifically in manufacturing environments
• US Citizenship required due to government contracts
• Ignition SCADA, Databases and Scripting experience

• Applying expertise to technical problem resolution
• The ability to be given direction and work independently while meeting timelines

Basic Qualifications:

• Ignition SCADA, Databases and Scripting experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent judgment and professional maturity
• The ability to create positive relations and craft clear communication
• AutoCAD, Studio 5000 Logix designer, Factory Talk, RS Networks and MS Office Suite
• Strong communication, collaboration and team building skills; ability to connect with all levels of the organization
• Some experience with controls hardware design utilizing components and architectures
• Experience troubleshooting different component manufactures and applications
• Experience with evaluation and implementation of controls standards
• Experience with system software / PLC code development, HMI screen development
