Job summary

Kodak Alaris Colorado is seeking an Automation / Robotics Engineer with 3+ years of experience to support finishing and packaging manufacturing operations at KMC, partnering with engineers, operators, mechanics, technicians, and external vendors to drive continuous improvement.

The role involves designing, programming, debugging, installing and supporting automated systems, integrating robots, PLCs, sensors, actuators and vision systems for packaging and handling processes, and providing

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering or mechatronics engineering (or related field)
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with process automation and control systems is preferable
• Ability to create electrical schematics and panel layouts
• Experience with SolidWorks Electrical (or similar software)
• Experience with Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation PLCs and HMIs
• Proficient with ladder logic for Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation PLCs (RSLogix 5000, RSLogix 500, Studio 5000 Logix Designer)
• Experience with industrial robot programming and integration - preferably Epson
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and software domains
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

• Design, program, debug, test, install, and support automated manufacturing systems and equipment
• Integrate robots, PLCs, pneumatics, sensors, actuators, and vision systems
• Provide day-to-day support for manufacturing operations
• Create documentation and deliver technical training on equipment and processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues
• Integrate purchased and custom-designed equipment solutions
• Support cost reduction and efficiency improvement projects
• Provide electrical, mechanical, software, and controls expertise
• Support product commercialization teams
