Job summary

CDI Products, a Michelin Group Company, seeks an Automation Engineer to design, program, and support PLCs, robotics, HMIs, and data integration across production lines. You will collaborate with IT and manufacturing teams to enable secure equipment connectivity and drive Industry 4.0 initiatives.

The role requires a B.E. in engineering and 5+ years in industrial automation, with experience in Omron PLCs, Indusoft SCADA, and CAD tools. On-site in Texas, travel minimal.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
5+ years of practical industrial automation design experience.
Proficiency in Omron PLCs and hardware design.
Experience with SCADA (Indusoft) and industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus).
Familiarity with robots from Fanuc or Universal Robots.

Responsibilities

Design and implement automated systems for polymer manufacturing and production environments.
Lead cross-functional teams on automation projects and design reviews.
Develop project scopes, specifications, and design deliverables.
Program PLCs and robots; ensure reliable data transfer between equipment and networks.
