Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, program, and maintain advanced industrial automation, PLC/SCADA systems, and robotics for smart manufacturing operations.

In this on-site, full-time role, you will partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and IT teams to troubleshoot faults, integrate machine vision, and advance Industry 4.0/IIoT connectivity across the facility.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, or Control Engineering.
Design and programming of PLC/SCADA systems in industrial settings.
Experience with machine vision and IIoT connectivity desirable.

Responsibilities

Design, program, and deploy industrial control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, robotics, and machine vision.
Integrate, tune, and scale automated machinery and robotic cells on production lines.
Diagnose faults and minimize downtime across electrical, network, and software controls.
Lead control-system upgrades with Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance teams.
Create engineering docs, EOS, electrical schematics, and P&ID drawings.
Support Industry 4.0 initiatives, linking shop-floor data to IIoT networks.
