Job summary

Agropur Cooperative is seeking an Automation Engineer to lead plant-wide automation and controls projects in Luxemburg, WI. The role involves programming HMIs/PLCs, interfacing with field devices, and developing new control panels.

You will troubleshoot networks, ensure NFPA 70E compliance, and mentor technicians. The position requires a technical degree with 3+ years in manufacturing, PLC/HMI and drive programming knowledge, and CAD software experience.

Qualifications

• Associate or Technical School Degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Responsibilities

• Program plant-wide automation and controls systems and lead related projects.
• Troubleshoot and maintain HMIs; modify graphics; manage alarms, trends, and backups.
• Interface with field instruments (Ethernet/IP, IO, VFDs, sensors).
• Design and modify control panels including power distribution and safety devices.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 70E electrical standards.
• Troubleshoot and maintain Ethernet networks and IP networking basics.
• Develop PLC and HMI programs; write new programs for PLCs and HMIs.
• Program VFDs, sensors, networks, and chart recorders; manage projects and training.
