Intellectt Inc. in Milpitas, CA, seeks an experienced Automation Engineer to design, develop, commission, and support complex automation equipment from concept through production in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.

The role focuses on automated assembly, equipment qualification, machine build/debug, and production implementation, with hands‑on work on PLCs, robotics, vision systems, CAD‑enabled equipment design, and NPI activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
5+ years of hands‑on Automation Engineering experience.
Strong experience with PLC programming, robotics, vision systems, and automated equipment.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of automation projects throughout the lifecycle from concept to production.
Design, develop, and deploy automation solutions across manufacturing environments.
Design equipment layouts for efficiency, safety, and productivity.
Develop and troubleshoot PLC programs, robotic systems, vision systems, and other automation components.
Support machine build, installation, debugging, testing, commissioning, and qualification activities.
Provide on‑site technical support during equipment fabrication, installation, debug, and testing.
