Job summary

Cindavi in Batesville, AR is seeking a driven Process Automation Engineer to join our Project Engineering Group. You will help support and modernize a complex specialty chemical manufacturing operation, working across legacy and next-generation technologies, including an active migration to ABB 800M controls.

You will learn how the entire plant operates, collaborate with experienced technical leaders, and grow into a trusted resource for automation, troubleshooting, and engineering decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering preferred.
• Experience in process controls, automation, systems integration, or controls programming.
• Strong PC literacy; comfortable with Windows, servers, domains, networking, and OT.
• Experience in chemical, petroleum, or continuous/batch manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and start up automation solutions for batch and continuous processes.
• Support changes, upgrades, and improvement projects across PLC, DCS, HMI, and plant networks.
• Program and troubleshoot ladder logic, structured text, function blocks, and batch sequencing.
• Advance ABB 800xA/800M modernization while supporting Allen-Bradley and legacy systems.
• Collaborate with process engineering, project engineering, operations, maintenance, and instrumentation teams.
• Diagnose root causes, improve reliability and capacity, and influence equipment design decisions.
• Provide occasional after-hours support for critical plant issues.
