Job summary

Cindavi in Batesville, Arkansas is seeking a driven Process Automation Engineer to join our Project Engineering Group. You will design, implement, and startup automation solutions for batch and continuous processes, helping modernize our plant.

You will work across ABB 800xA/800M migrations, Allen-Bradley, legacy DCS, and vendor systems while collaborating with process engineering, operations, electrical maintenance, and instrumentation teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering preferred.
Experience or aptitude in process controls, automation, or systems integration.
Strong PC literacy; comfortable with Windows, servers, domains, networking, and OT.
Understanding of controllers, I/O, instrumentation, and fieldbus technologies.
Experience in chemical or continuous/batch manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, test, and start up automation solutions for batch and continuous processes.
Support change orders, upgrades, and improvement projects across PLC, DCS, HMI, and networks.
Program and troubleshoot systems using ladder logic, structured text, function blocks, and batch sequencing.
Advance ABB 800xA/800M modernization while supporting legacy systems and Allen-Bradley.
Collaborate with process engineering, project engineering, operations, maintenance, and instrumentation teams to solve plant-wide problems.
Diagnose root causes, improve reliability and capacity, and contribute to design decisions.
Occasional after-hours support for critical plant issues.
