Job summary

Amazon in Bloomington, CA is seeking an Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and operational performance in fulfillment centers, providing proactive controls automation and technical support. You will troubleshoot complex control systems and work with cross-functional teams to optimize MHE systems and implement innovative projects.

You’ll work with conveyors, sortation, scanners, cameras, print and apply systems, and SCADA devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE/Automation or 2+ years PLC/automation experience.
• Experience with control systems troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Familiarity with ladder logic and PLC programming environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain automation systems critical for operations; site expert for automation.
• Troubleshoot and optimize MHE control systems and PLC networks.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide first-level escalation support to technicians, locally and remotely.
• Conduct building system assessments to improve material handling performance.
