Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and operational performance within fulfillment centers. You will troubleshoot complex control systems and drive continuous improvement across MHE systems, including PLCs, networks, and SCADA devices.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize conveyors, sorters, scanners, and print/apply systems to deliver Amazon’s speed and accuracy.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS, EE, automation, or related field or 2+ years of PLC/automation experience.
Experience in PLC based controls design, development, and support.
FLEXIBLE schedule including weekends/nights/holidays.

Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot automation systems critical for operations.
Analyze performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on MHE optimization projects.
Provide first-level escalation support for site technicians (local/remote).
Perform system assessments to enhance material handling performance.
