Job summary

Amazon in Omaha, NE seeks an Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and operational performance in fulfillment centers by providing proactive controls automation and technical support for MHE systems. You will work with PLC/PC controllers, industrial networks, and SCADA to drive continuous improvement and project delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of PLC programming/automation experience.
Flexibility to work weekends, nights, holidays as needed.
Experience with PLC-based controls design, development, implementation and support.

Responsibilities

Maintain automation systems critical for operations.
Troubleshoot material handling control systems and industrial networks.
Monitor MHE metrics and analyze performance for improvements.
Provide first-level escalation support for site technicians (local/remote).
Conduct building system assessments to enhance material handling performance.
