Job summary

Techtronic Industries - TTI in Anderson, SC, seeks an Automation Engineering Specialist 1 to support Product Development by building test systems and automating product testing. The Test Automation Group designs, builds, and automates mechanical and electrical lab systems, including CAD parts, basic PLC/robot programming, wiring, and debugging.

The ideal candidate has an AS degree in a related field, up to 3 years of lab or technical experience, and basic CAD/electronics skills.

Qualifications

AS degree (preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Machine Tool Technology, or similar field.
0–3 years of relevant lab or technical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Basic technical skills and ability to contribute effectively as a member of a cross-functional team.
Familiarity with lab equipment, data acquisition, and power supplies.
Ability to assemble mechanical and electrical systems.
Basic machining skills.
Basic understanding of circuits/electronics.
Support wiring, fixture assembly, and test system build activities.
Assist troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues.
Basic knowledge of 3D CAD software (SolidWorks or NX preferred).
Basic knowledge of PLC/HMI programming (NI, AB, Click, Groov EPIC, Mitsubishi preferred).
Ignition or SCADA knowledge preferred.
