Job summary

Cambro Manufacturing Company seeks an Automation Engineer II to design, implement, and validate automated manufacturing equipment and control systems. You will lead cross-functional teams, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive continuous improvement while upholding safety standards.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing engineering with strong PLC, HMI, and robotics experience, plus proficiency in AutoCAD/SolidWorks. Domestic travel to facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Automation/Industrial Eng or related field.
• Minimum 5 years manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in injection molding.
• Ability to program and troubleshoot PLC/HMI; AutoCAD/SolidWorks knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develops, codes, and commissions automated systems, including PLC programming, robotics and motion control.
• Troubleshoots and resolves complex issues to minimize downtime.
• Manages automation projects from design to deployment with timelines and scope.
• Validates protocols and ensures safety/quality standards are met.
• Analyzes production data to optimize performance and reduce costs.
• Prepares electrical documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
