Job summary
BRC Rubber & Plastics Inc. is seeking an Automation Engineer to lead and implement automation and electrical control solutions across our manufacturing operations.
In this hands-on role, you will design, program, and commission PLC and HMI systems, develop electrical control panels, and support production teams to minimize downtime and improve throughput. You will own projects from concept through commissioning, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure safety and compliance with NFPA 70E
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
- Robotic programming experience with Fanuc/Epson.
- Proven PLC programming and commissioning experience (Allen‑Bradley).
- Experience developing HMIs.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
- Hands-on troubleshooting with motors, drives, sensors, and machine controls.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting Plant Support: diagnose root causes and restore equipment functionality.
- Robotics Intelligent Automation Controls Development: program, integrate, and support PLC/HMI systems, and design electrical panels per codes.
- Project Leadership: own projects from concept through commissioning, coordinate cross-functional teams, manage change requests and validation.
