Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Clayton, NC seeks a Process Automation Engineer to ensure control systems align with local and global standards. You will work with vendors to specify equipment interfaces and integration, ensuring readiness for local manufacturing and quality compliance.

The role requires engineering discipline, experience in process-based manufacturing, and strong knowledge of SAP EM, PLC, DCS/SCADA, MES, Oracle, and SQL databases. Join a global team focused on health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• Associate's degree with minimum 5 years of engineering experience in process-based manufacturing.
• High School Diploma with at least 7 years of engineering experience in process-based manufacturing.
• Minimum 3 years engineering experience in process-based manufacturing.
• Knowledgeable in SAP EM, PLC, DCS/SCADA, MES, Oracle, MS SQL; SAP EWM a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support plans to maintain and improve process control systems.
• Coordinate plans with manufacturing schedules to ensure execution.
• Act as automation resource on projects involving process control systems.
• Develop daily self-improvement and understand site process control systems.
• Follow automation standards and update related specifications and plans.
• Support audits and inspections for process control systems.
• Apply cLEAN and Six Sigma tools to drive process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with quality mindset, risk management, and mitigation.
• Assist in change management and project initiatives.
• Contribute to SOPs, best practices, and maintenance procedures.
• Adhere to safety and environmental requirements.
• Handle other responsibilities as assigned.
