Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Clayton, NC, is seeking an engineer to maintain and improve process control systems for manufacturing. You will partner with stakeholders and vendors to ensure equipment and software align with local and global standards, and you will specify IFA requirements to ensure seamless integration with manufacturing sites.

The role requires hands-on automation knowledge (SAP EM, PLC, DCS/SCADA, MES, Oracle, MS SQL) and a disciplined approach to problem solving using cLEAN/Six Sigma

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field required; can consider Associate’s with 5+ years engineering experience.
• High School Degree/GED with 7+ years of engineering experience considered.
• Minimum 3 years engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, & packaging systems.

Responsibilities

• Support plans to maintain & improve process control systems.
• Coordinate with manufacturing schedules to execute plans.
• Operate as automation resource on projects involving process control systems.
• Adhere to automation standards and update related specifications & maintenance plans.
• Support audits & inspections for process control systems.
• Apply cLEAN/Six Sigma tools for problem solving and project management.
• Work with Corporate/PS/IT and local stakeholders on initiatives.
• Develop SOPs, best practices, and maintenance procedures.
