Job summary

CONVOTIS Iberia seeks an experienced automation engineer to advance our lifecycle management using AWX and Ansible. You will build and refine CI/CD pipelines, create scripts in Bash and Python, and document environments thoroughly. The role supports office or home flexibility, with a collaborative, learning-focused team culture.

Your work will involve automating tasks, networking and database considerations, and mentoring colleagues while contributing to high-quality infrastructure across Europe.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in automation and IT infrastructure.
• Hands-on expertise with AWX and Ansible for lifecycle automation.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python for automation tasks.
• Solid knowledge of Linux systems and Windows administration.
• Experience with databases and networking concepts is required.
• Fluent English and Spanish, with ability to train new colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Automate lifecycle management using AWX and Ansible to ensure reliable, scalable processes.
• Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and integrate external automation.
• Execute clearly defined automation tasks from planning to implementation.
• Create Bash and Python scripts to streamline recurring operations.
• Document environments and systems thoroughly prior to implementation.
• Design documentation for automation and network environments for projects.
• Propose improvements to configurations and technical details.
• Train and onboard new team members and share knowledge.
• Work as part of a shift roster, including nights and weekends.
