Job summary

Charter Manufacturing is seeking a Digital Automation Engineer to transform how work is done by identifying opportunities to automate manual processes and integrating automation, APIs, and AI into enterprise workflows.

You will design, build, test, and deploy automation solutions, partnering with IT and business teams to drive measurable efficiency and scalability across Digital Technology and Infrastructure & Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in IT operations, infrastructure, automation, or related field.
• Experience with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Python, APIs).
• Strong understanding of IT operations, infrastructure, or enterprise tech environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and collaborative skills.
• Curiosity about emerging technologies, AI, automation, and digital transformation.
• Ability to thrive in evolving environments and define path forward.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize opportunities to automate manual, repetitive, and time-consuming processes across Digital Technology and Infrastructure & Operations.
• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain automation solutions using scripting, APIs, workflows, and low-code platforms.
• Evaluate and adopt new automation tools, AI capabilities, and enterprise technologies.
• Manage end-to-end automation initiatives from idea to adoption, measurement, and support.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Service Desk, Cybersecurity, and Business Technology teams to promote automation and standardization.
