Job description

Charter Manufacturing is a fourth-generation family-owned business where our will to grow drives us to do it better. Join the team and become part of our family!

Drive Business Transformation Through Process Innovation, Automation, and AI

We're looking for a highly analytical and forward-thinking Digital Process Analyst to help accelerate operational excellence across the organization. This role combines business process improvement, technology enablement, automation, and AI innovation to solve complex challenges and create lasting business value. If you're passionate about helping organizations work smarter, collaborating with diverse teams, and turning ideas into measurable results, we'd love to hear from you.

In this role, you'll work closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, improve processes, and implement solutions that enhance performance, efficiency, and user experience. You'll play a key role in helping shape the organization's digital transformation journey by leveraging data, technology, automation, and emerging AI capabilities.

Position Purpose/Mission

Partner with assigned functional areas to analyze and improve business processes using functional knowledge, process analysis, data and technology fluency, automation, and AI-enabled solution design. Identify root causes and improvement opportunities; clarify desired outcomes; and design future-state processes that appropriately combine people, systems, data, workflow automation, and AI-enabled capabilities.

Lead moderately complex initiatives and contribute to larger enterprise transformation efforts that drive measurable business outcomes. Translate business objectives and future-state designs into actionable requirements, workflows, business rules, data and control needs, testing criteria, implementation considerations, and success metrics. Collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure solutions are practical, scalable, governed, maintainable, measurable, and positioned for long-term adoption and success.

Why Join Us?
  • Make a meaningful impact on enterprise-wide business processes and strategic initiatives
  • Help shape the adoption of automation and AI-enabled solutions across the organization
  • Partner with leaders across manufacturing, operations, supply chain, finance, engineering, and technology
  • Lead high-visibility projects that improve efficiency, decision-making, and business performance
  • Work in a collaborative environment that values innovation, continuous improvement, and professional growth
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field; equivalent experience considered
  • 3 or more years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, technology delivery, digital transformation, automation, continuous improvement, or related work
  • Ability to partner with business stakeholders, process owners, and technical teams to analyze moderately complex processes; identify business needs, root causes, dependencies, and constraints; and recommend process or technology-enabled improvements
  • Ability to facilitate discovery, distinguish requested solutions from underlying business needs, and translate desired outcomes into clear process and solution requirements
  • Experience with enterprise business systems and the interaction of processes, data, integrations, and user workflows across platforms (e.g., ERP, MES, CRM, CMMS, WMS)
  • Familiarity with practical AI-enabled tools and their use in business processes, decision support, workflow execution, and productivity
  • Strong communication, facilitation, analytical, problem-solving, and structured-thinking skills, with the ability to use operational and financial information to develop practical recommendations
  • Ability to independently manage multiple moderately complex initiatives amid ambiguity, competing priorities, and cross-functional stakeholder needs
  • Ability to participate in on-call support for a 24x7 manufacturing environment, if applicable
  • Ability to travel, primarily between Charter locations, as required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Functional or technical experience in manufacturing, supply chain, commercial, finance, operations, engineering, or similar enterprise environment
  • Experience applying process improvement and design methods such as Lean, Six Sigma, BPMN, value stream mapping, or process mining
  • Experience assessing process improvement, automation, analytics, or AI-enabled opportunities based on business value, feasibility, and readiness
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled business solutions, human-in-the-loop design, agent-supported workflows, automation, and enterprise AI governance
  • Experience with workflow automation, low-code, reporting, integration, data, analytics, SQL, or visualization tools
  • Experience supporting business cases, success measures, rapid prototyping, implementation and adoption activities, or post-implementation assessments
  • Relevant certifications in business analysis, process improvement, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, automation, data analytics, or enterprise platforms
Major Accountabilities
  • Partner with assigned functional areas to understand business objectives, processes, systems, performance measures, and improvement opportunities
  • Facilitate discovery and analysis to define business problems, desired outcomes, root causes, requirements, risks, dependencies, and success measures
  • Analyze current-state processes and design future-state processes using the appropriate combination of people, systems, data, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities
  • Define business and process requirements for technology-enabled solutions, including workflows, business rules, data and integration needs, controls, exceptions, and testing criteria
  • Partner with business and technology teams to evaluate solution alternatives and recommend approaches based on business value, feasibility, user experience, risk, and long-term sustainability
  • Identify and assess transformation opportunities and facilitate prioritization based on strategic alignment, expected value, readiness, and implementation effort
  • Use operational data and business metrics to develop business cases, establish success measures, and track realized benefits
  • Apply AI-enabled tools and automation to improve analysis, documentation, testing preparation, and knowledge capture while validating outputs for accuracy and appropriate use
  • Support implementation, testing, adoption, and stabilization by validating solutions, assessing process and role impacts, and helping resolve operational issues
