Job summary

GxP Associates in Texas is seeking an entry-level Automation Engineer to support development, implementation, and optimization of automated control systems. The role covers PLC programming, HMI/SCADA configuration, electrical controls, and documentation.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to troubleshoot, commission equipment, and drive continuous improvement. Strong fundamentals and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in automation, controls, manufacturing, or industrial engineering.
• Basic PLC programming knowledge and experience with industrial control systems.
• Familiarity with HMI/SCADA systems preferred.
• Understanding of electrical schematics and control panels.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, programming, testing, and troubleshooting of automated control systems.

• Assist with system commissioning, startup, and equipment integration activities.

• Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and change records.
