Job summary

CMC offers a robust opportunity to contribute to the automation and control systems within our steel and construction reinforcement operations. You will engage with PLCs, SCADA, and HMI projects, supporting a range of equipment from VFDs to process computers in diverse facilities.

You’ll work on integrating Level II and Level 1 interfaces, developing automation solutions, and collaborating with multiple departments to ensure reliable instrumentation and control.

Qualifications

Knowledge of Level II and PLC equipment (Siemens and/or Allen Bradley PLCs)
Solid understanding of databases and programming languages
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred

Responsibilities

Proficient in database management and programming
Assist in maintaining Variable Frequency Drives, Programmable Logic Controllers, Instrumentation, Process computers and related equipment
Able to program SQL and Crystal Reports; Siemen's 7 PLC and Intouch-Wonderware
Ability to maintain and modify Graphical User Interface Programs (HMI)
Through understanding of Level II system interfaces with Level 1 PLC systems, the OWS, HMI's and SAP
Proactively seek new automation solutions to improve consistency and efficiency
Ability to communicate effectively with appropriate departments/individuals
General knowledge of Steel Mill Process

What You’ll Do

Proficient in database management and programming
