Job summary

Commercial Metals LTD in Georgia seeks an experienced Automation Engineer to lead robotics initiatives across our manufacturing sites. You will provide remote support, maintain troubleshooting hardware, and guide upgrades to complex automation systems.

With 10+ years in PLC/SCADA and field-device installations, you will manage large capital projects and serve as automation lead, contributing to our advanced steel and construction reinforcement operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in PLC programming and automation projects.
• 10+ years in SCADA/HMI including WonderWare, PanelView and Ignition.
• Experience specifying, installing and scaling field devices and automation hardware.
• Proven ability to manage electrical and automation projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and implement robotics projects across manufacturing facilities.
• Provide remote assistance and troubleshooting for two facilities.
• Maintain remote troubleshooting hardware and create backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Provide field assistance in periodic automation changes and tune-ups.
• Complete automation projects including upgrades and new equipment.
• Serve as Automation lead on large capital projects.

• Specify, install, configure, and scale field devices including motors, accelerometers, RTDs, loads cells, pressure transmitters, flow transmitters, valve positioners
• Experience managing electrical and automation projects
• Specify, install, configure and scale field devices including motors, RTDs, load cells, pressure transmitters, flow transmitters, valve positioners, etc.

Your Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
