Job summary

BlackRock Resources, LLC seeks an Automation Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA on a hybrid, 6-month contract basis. The role focuses on control system hardware, enclosure and panel design, wiring, and documentation using Allen-Bradley ControlLogix with FLEX 5000 I/O modules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with automation, controls, or instrumentation & I&C engineering.
• Experience with control system hardware and enclosure/panel design.
• Understanding of PLC I/O, junction boxes, field instrumentation, and control wiring.
• Familiarity with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix or similar PLC systems preferred.
• Ability to develop and/or review I/O schematics and cable schedules.

Overview

This role will primarily focus on control system hardware and engineering documentation, including PLC enclosures, junction boxes, I/O schematics, and cable schedules. The project will utilize Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLCs with FLEX 5000 I/O modules.

PLC programming experience is not required for this position.
