Job summary

C.H. Guenther & Son is seeking a Maintenance Technician to manage and optimize control and electrical systems across our manufacturing operations in Mississippi.

You will troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA, perform preventive maintenance, and drive safety and reliability improvements. The role requires collaboration with the maintenance team, strong problem-solving, and the ability to work non-standard hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Technical or Associates' Degree, Electrical Journeyman's License, or related certificate preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field is a plus.
• At least 1 year of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of control systems in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain control systems for manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve PLC, HMI, SCADA, and other automation components.
• Optimize control strategies for efficiency, reliability, and safety.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on motors, drives, sensors and electrical components.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with maintenance to develop and follow maintenance schedules.
• Documentation of control system configurations and wiring diagrams.
• Flexibility to work non-standard hours as needed.
