Job summary

DC Industries seeks a hands-on manager to own the Pio automation grid performance and oversee DTC fulfillment through automation. The role partners with Warehouse Manager and cross-functional teams to drive a system-led, efficient distribution environment.

Requires strong leadership, inventory control, and analytics to optimize throughput and accuracy. Responsibilities include monitoring system dashboards, coordinating maintenance, and driving continuous improvement across WMS/ERP and automation

Qualifications

Experience in DTC fulfillment, warehouse operations, or automated distribution environments.
Strong knowledge of inventory control processes (cycle counting, reconciliation, adjustments).
Experience with WMS/ERP systems and system-driven fulfillment environments.
Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset.
Technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot systems and workflows.
Strong leadership, communication, and training capabilities.
Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end performance of the Pio automation grid, including uptime, throughput, bin utilization, and system health.
Monitor daily grid activity, identify bottlenecks, and proactively resolve operational or system issues.
Optimize slotting, bin allocation, and workflow configuration to maximize efficiency and capacity.
Coordinate maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts with internal teams and external partners.
Own daily execution of the automation system to ensure consistent throughput and minimal downtime.
Monitor system dashboards to proactively manage performance.
Escalate issues to vendors with clear diagnostics and coordinate rapid resolution.
Oversee all DTC and automation-driven order fulfillment to meet service level expectations.
Ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time, minimizing delays, short ships, and errors.
Prioritize and manage order flow, including exception handling and urgent orders.
Monitor key metrics and drive improvements.
Support peak planning and execution to maintain high service levels.
Ensure real-time alignment between physical inventory and system records across WMS/ERP and automation platforms.
Co-manage inventory control processes, including cycle counting, reconciliation, and adjustments.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies through root cause analysis.
Identify breakdowns between systems, processes, and physical operations.
Partner with IT, inventory control, and operations teams to maintain data integrity.
Design and maintain optimal inventory placement strategies based on SKU velocity.
Continuously adjust slotting to reduce congestion and improve pick efficiency.
Optimize bin configurations to maximize storage density.
Ensure inbound processes support efficient grid utilization.
Track and report on key performance metrics: UPH, orders processed per hour, bin utilization, system uptime/downtime.
Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Support development of dashboards, reporting tools, and SOPs.
Improve workflows across inbound to shipping, and partner with IT/ERP teams to enhance system functionality and integration.
