Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a Pharmacy Admin Supervisor to coordinate operations across automation, regulatory readiness, purchasing, and inventory control within Pharmacy Admin - Product Line. You will work with pharmacy, nursing, and other teams to monitor medication dispensing, manage user access to automated dispensing systems, and oversee restocking and expiry processes.

The role requires MI pharmacy technician licensure, 2+ years of inpatient or general pharmacy tech

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years experience as an inpatient pharmacy technician or general pharmacy technician.
• 2+ years experience with automated pharmacy dispensing systems preferred.
• PC skills as needed to perform job functions.
• Strong verbal and written skills; on-call availability.
• Ability to work designated shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provides services and functions of Pharmacy Technicians as needed.
• Participates in project teams to meet operational objectives.
• Liaises with Nursing Management to monitor medication discrepancies.
• Performs reporting on controlled drug dispensing trends to Nursing Management.
• Creates and maintains user IDs for automated dispensing systems and related software.
• Serves as primary contact for IS issues related to Automated Dispensing Systems.
• Maintains drug database in dispensing systems.
• Coordinates and monitors medication restocking and expiration monitoring.
• Investigates narcotic accounting discrepancies and communicates findings.
• Contributes to process changes in assigned focus areas.
• Develops training materials and trains new staff; assists with commodities buying.
