Job summary

SpaceX is expanding its Memphis-area AI infrastructure and data-center facilities, seeking a SpaceX SpaceX SpaceX SpaceX SpaceX SpaceX Safety Engineer to design and enforce electrical safety programs, risk assessments, and emergency procedures across high-density critical infrastructure. This role requires relocation to Memphis, TN and offers extensive collaboration with EH&S and operations teams.

Ideal candidates have hands-on data-center experience, PFMEA/SPC proficiency, PLC/IoT automation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering field.
• Hands-on data center or mission-critical experience.
• Experience with PFMEA, root cause analysis, and SPC.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical safety programs including arc-flash analysis, LOTO, and safe work practices on UPS, PDUs, switchgear, and generators.
• Conduct risk assessments of power systems, cooling infrastructure, fire/smoke, energy storage and human factors.
• Perform FMEA, HAZOP and other structured risk assessments for critical systems.
• Ensure proper grounding, bonding, and power quality monitoring to prevent damage and injury.
• Validate ATS and generator failover procedures from a safety perspective.
• Monitor cooling systems and extreme temperature/humidity conditions.
• Establish safe operating limits and emergency procedures for CRAC/CRAH, chillers, and energy storage.
• Develop and drill emergency response plans for power loss, cooling failure, fires, and water events.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA, OSHA, IEC, ISO 45001 and related standards.
