Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring an Automation and Controls Technician in Jacksonville, AR for a direct-hire role. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and improve automated production equipment in a manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience with PLCs, electrical controls, and automation, plus strong problem-solving skills and the ability to read electrical schematics and drawings. This is a Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm schedule with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Technical training in electronic controls, automation, industrial maintenance, or related field preferred.
Additional certifications in automation, electrical systems, or PLC programming are a plus.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated manufacturing and production equipment.
Diagnose and resolve PLC, electrical, and control system issues to minimize downtime.
Install, maintain, and modify electrical controls, automation systems, and production equipment.
Work with electrical systems up to 480V, AC/DC motors, motor drives, sensors, relays, and control components.
Assist with design, fabrication, and implementation of custom automation solutions and process improvements.
Support preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and production efficiency.
Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to improve operational performance and safety.
