Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking an experienced 1st Shift Maintenance Automation & Controls Technician to support automated manufacturing and facility systems in a fast-paced environment in Elizabeth, NJ. The ideal candidate will program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC/SCADA systems, diagnose electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and contribute to safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs and electrical safety standards is preferred,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with industrial automation, PLC programming, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLC platforms.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, controls, and industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E, and electrical safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and equipment testing.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SCADA systems and HMI development.
• Electrical maintenance certifications.
• Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, or welding systems.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
