Job summary

ConMet, Canton, NC, is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to calibrate, troubleshoot, monitor, analyze, maintain and repair a variety of electric and electronic control equipment to improve system effectiveness and efficiency.

Deuxnd Shift: Monday - Friday; duties include troubleshooting, repairing electrical/electronic components, programming Fanuc robots, and coordinating with vendors for problem solving and optimization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 2 years college and/ or trade school.
• Minimum 4 years of related job experience, with emphasis on equipment maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of control systems from installation to repair via pneumatic, electrical and electronic methods.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair breakdowns or malfunctions of electrical equipment.
• Perform root cause problem identification and implement self-initiated activities to improve process reliability and cycle times.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic components, including sensors, drives, PLCs, motors and motor controllers, servo controllers.
• Program and troubleshoot Fanuc robots; perform minor touchups on robotic programs.
• Call equipment and/or parts vendors for support in troubleshooting problems and/or optimizing equipment.

Description

Summary: ConMet - Canton, NC location is looking for an experienced Electronics Technician to perform calibration, troubleshooting, monitoring, analysis, maintenance and repair of a variety of electric and electronic control equipment to achieve better system effectiveness and efficiency.

Shift: Second Shift, Monday - Friday

What You Will Do:

• Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair breakdowns or malfunctions of electrical equipment
• Perform root cause problem identification and implement self-initiated activities to improve process reliability and cycle times
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic components, including solid sensors (photo eyes, prox. switches), variable frequency drives, PLCs, motors and motor controllers, servo motion controllers
• Program and troubleshoot Fanuc robots; perform minor touchups on robotic programs
• Call equipment and/or parts vendors for support in troubleshooting problems and/or optimizing equipment

What You Need to Be Successful:

• High school diploma plus 2 years college and/or trade school
• Minimum 4 years of related job experience, with emphasis on equipment maintenance and repair
• Work requires a working knowledge of control system normally acquired through six (6) years of experience in the installation, inspection, testing and repair of pneumatic, electrical and electronic control systems, or an equivalent combination of skills, experience, and education
