Amsted Industries' ConMet unit in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Customer Service Representative to manage order entry, confirm orders, communicate shipment details, and help resolve invoice issues.

This in-office role requires 2+ years of customer service or inside sales experience, strong communication skills, and readiness to work with ERP systems like SAP; bilingual Spanish desirable. Candidates must commute to the Charlotte office daily.

Job description

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for providing world-class order-to-invoice customer satisfaction, to include order entry and confirmation, communication of shipment details, and invoice issue resolution.

This newly created opportunity is open due to increased market demand and growth of ConMet’s Aftermarket business unit and will be based at our Charlotte, NC warehouse.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handling a high volume of calls and emails regarding order status, shipment/invoice issues, filing claims with carriers if needed, tech calls and RGA request.
• Provide accurate information for order entry, pricing, ship dates and advise if any delays in parts shipping in standard lead time.
• Assist Accounts Receivable department regarding invoice discrepancies.
• Establish, develop, and maintain robust, positive relationships with customers by providing attentive, professional, and empathetic customer service
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high levels of organization and attention to details.
• Actively acquire, absorb, and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the company's customer service protocols, product catalog, and operational systems.
• This is an in-office position; candidates must be able to commute daily to the designated office location.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum two (2) + years of customer service/inside sales experience
• Very strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

• Manufacturing-related CSR/inside sales experience
• Class 8/automotive and/or Plastics product experience
• SAP (or another ERP system such as Oracle or JD Edwards) experience
• Bilingual and able to read, write and speak Spanish at a basic level
