Job summary
Champion Foods is seeking a Controls Specialist Automation Technician to provide controls, programming, instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical support at our manufacturing facility. You will troubleshoot and repair automated equipment, read schematics and P&IDs, and collaborate across engineering, maintenance, and production teams.
Ideal candidates have extensive maintenance experience in automation, know process control and power distribution, and can train others on production-line
Qualifications
- Must have six+ years of industrial maintenance experience or advanced education in automation controls.
- Experience with process control and power distribution.
- Ability to read mechanical/electrical schematics and P&IDs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment, utilities and facility.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits (single/three-phase, DC).
- Provide operating instructions and training on production line equipment.
- Develop and revise maintenance SOPs.
- Troubleshoot PLC, servo, HMI, and VFD systems.
- Maintain field instrumentation and interfaces to control systems.
- Ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
