Job summary

Champion Foods LLC seeks a Controls Specialist Automation Technician to support the manufacturing facility in automation, controls, and electrical/mechanical systems. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated equipment, and work with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Based in our Gaffney, SC bakery, you’ll join a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that values safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must have at least six (6) years of industrial maintenance experience or advanced education in automation controls, PLC, programming, electrical, mechanical, and electronics.
• Experience with ABB circuitry and industrial control systems is a plus.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical manuals, schematics, and P&ID’S.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment, utilities, and facility; share automation and PLC knowledge with maintenance personnel.
• Troubleshoot and repair facility electrical equipment including single/three-phase circuits and DC systems.
• Write and revise maintenance department SOPs and support cost-effective projects.
