Job summary

SpaceX in Bastrop, TX is seeking an Automation & Controls Specialist to build, install, and commission new automation assets and electromechanical controls systems on Starlink production lines. You will troubleshoot complex controls issues, support maintenance, and focus on long-term reliability while adhering to NFPA 70/70E, UL 508A, and safety standards.

This role requires hands-on electrical, mechanical, and software skills and offers shift options and growth within SpaceX's manufacturing

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in manufacturing and production environments.
Experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
Willing to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

Create and modify electrical and pneumatic schematics with EPLAN and Visio.
Wire, commission, and validate electromechanical and pneumatic control systems.
Build control panels to NFPA 79 and UL 508A standards.
Design and commission PLC and HMI software applications.
Interpret and develop logic for Beckhoff TwinCAT, Siemens TIA, and Allen-Bradley RSLogix.
Troubleshoot PLC and HMI software.
Procure components and hardware for controls solutions.
Develop and improve designs on production assets.
