Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Automation and Controls Engineer for the Bastrop, TX gateway site to lead and deliver full factory automation projects. You will design, develop, and deploy robotic and machine-automation solutions, write structured PLC code, and create safe, maintainable electrical and control systems for high-volume manufacturing.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an engineering, physics, or computer science discipline.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and manage automation projects from ideation to hand-off.
Architect, write, and debug PLC code for high-volume manufacturing.
Maintain safe, reliable systems compliant with ANSI/RIA15.06/OSHA standards.
Create intuitive HMI screens for complex machinery.
Design electrical systems per NEC, NFPA, UL508A.
Plan schedules and budgets and lead the team to meet milestones.
