Job summary

RitterTech / RSA, an MCE Company, seeks a Technical Sales Engineer focused on automation and electronic controls. You will manage a base of approximately 50–60 customer accounts, develop OEM partnerships, and apply deep technical depth to specify products into machine designs across the Illinois/Indiana region.

A strong background in automation and controls is required. Grow product lines like PLCs, motion controllers, VFDs, and servos, while collaborating with regional teams to build growth

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on technical background in automation, electronic controls, electromechanical devices, or industrial controls.
• Ability to understand customer applications and help specify products into equipment or machine designs.
• Significant expertise in automation products and network protocols (PLCs, motion controllers, VFDs, servo motors, actuators).
• 1–3 years of technical sales or customer-facing technical experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with ERP, CRM, inventory software, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Own growth and performance of automation products across assigned territory.
• Build OEM relationships to specify products into designs and create repeat demand.
• Collaborate with local sales team and Regional Sales Manager to execute growth plans.
• Support sales calls with technical expertise across inside and outside sales.
• Record account activity, contacts, and opportunities in CRM and ERP daily.
