Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Project Engineer to provide engineering support, define corrective actions, and lead improvement initiatives across production plants. You will work with PLC-based hardware and control systems, coordinating with vendors and plant personnel to minimize downtime and optimize safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have a degree in engineering, TPM knowledge, and hands-on experience with ABB/Rockwell controls, plus strong problem-solving and teamwork skills to drive continuous

Qualifications

• College degree in hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, industrial electricity and control systems is required.
• Knowledge of PLC and RS Logic to test/adjust equipment.
• Knowledge of TPM; experience creating and implementing TPM programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, develop and implement activities to reduce machine downtime and increase process efficiency.
• Review, assess and design safety devices and controls as needed.
• Research, design, and develop controls systems for industrial use with PLC/HMI.
• Plan department activities based on production schedules to optimize manpower and facilities.
• Provide design and technical support of PLC-based hardware and control systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron).
• Manage capital projects from conception to installation following OSHA, EPA, SQF, and local code regulations.
• Interface with outside vendors to define, design, troubleshoot and redefine processes.
