Job summary

Amcor Limited is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support installation, startup, and commissioning of automated equipment across manufacturing sites. You will perform testing, validation, and on-site training while collaborating with engineering, project management, and operations teams.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5+ years in field service or automation, plus strong problem-solving and travel willingness (up to 75%).

Qualifications

Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
3–5+ years experience in field service, automation, manufacturing, controls, or equipment commissioning.
Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment and automation systems.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Ability to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

Support installation, startup, commissioning, and deployment of new and rebuilt automated equipment.
Perform equipment testing and validation prior to production startup and customer acceptance.
Provide on-site support for equipment installation, service, commissioning, troubleshooting, and operator training.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, controls, and automation-related issues.
Support PLCs, HMIs, robotic systems, motion control systems, VFDs, and related automation hardware.
Partner with engineering, project management, manufacturing, maintenance, and plant operations teams.
Follow and promote safe work practices throughout all job functions.
Share responsibility for rotating after-hours field service coverage.
