Job summary

Mars Incorporated is seeking a Senior Controls Technician to join the Henderson, NV maintenance team. You will oversee electrical control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and data systems to ensure efficient, safe operations and reliability on site.

You will also develop and mentor Maintenance Technicians, driving calibration and factory IT programs. The role requires 3–5 years in factory controls and IT, NFPA 70E certification preferred, and the ability to support rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Factory Controls & IT experience
• NFPA 70E certification (electrical safety, arc-flash)
• Ability to support day, afternoon, or night shifts

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement improvements to plant performance via existing or new control systems.
• Troubleshoot PLC/HMI/servo systems and electrical diagrams during breakdowns.
• Train Maintenance Technicians in troubleshooting, repairing, and commissioning electrical control devices.
• Serve as technical resource for operations and maintenance on control-related issues.
• Support daily priorities, coverage, and special projects with maintenance teams.
• Create and maintain system documentation, SOPs, and training materials for automation.
• Manage Calibration and Change Control Card programs for the site.
• Lead IT/Controls infrastructure initiatives within assigned areas.
