Job summary

Gentex Corporation in Zeeland, Michigan, seeks a Controls Engineer II to develop, deploy, and improve automated manufacturing systems, providing expert support for new and existing equipment. Qualifications

• 4-year engineering degree or combination of education and equivalent controls engineering experience.
• At least 3 years of experience designing, programming or integrating automated equipment.
• Experience with robotics applications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and improve Gentex automated manufacturing systems.
• Develop PLC programs and software for new and existing equipment.
• Create electrical and pneumatic schematics.
• Evaluate and specify hardware and software for automated equipment.
• Work with other Engineers to standardize automation solutions across similar equipment.
• Educate and train production support teams during equipment or software launches.
• Research and develop new solutions for automated equipment.
