Job summary

Adalta in the Greater Charlotte area seeks a Controls Engineer to join a highly automated manufacturing facility. The role covers programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLC systems and supporting ControlLogix-driven processes.

You will work on automating production, improving equipment performance, and leading capital improvement projects across the site. A Bachelor’s in a related field is required, with strong PLC and HMI/SCADA skills.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls/Automation Engineering or related field.
Experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs and ControlLogix platforms.
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing setting.
Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
Experience with HMI/SCADA systems and industrial automation.

Responsibilities

Program, troubleshoot, and optimize Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLC systems.
Support ControlLogix-based manufacturing processes.
Maintain and improve HMI and SCADA applications.
Lead and support automation, controls, and process improvement projects.
Assist with equipment integration and startup activities.
Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to drive manufacturing performance.
Support capital projects from concept through implementation.
