Job summary

Integrecruiting is seeking a Controls Engineer in Tennessee to design, program, troubleshoot, and improve automation systems for a growing manufacturer. You will work with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and equipment to maximize uptime and performance.

The role emphasizes safe operation, continuous improvement, and collaboration with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams to drive reliability and efficiency across the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required or preferred.
• Experience programming and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs.
• Experience with HMI systems, VFDs, and industrial networking.
• Strong reading of electrical schematics and control drawings.
• Manufacturing experience and safety standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot, and optimize Allen-Bradley PLC systems.
• Support production by diagnosing controls, automation, and electrical issues.
• Improve machine reliability, uptime, and efficiency.
• Design and implement PLC and HMI programming for equipment.
• Support startups, installations, and commissioning activities.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams.
• Participate in safety, quality, throughput, and reliability improvements.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain electrical drawings, PLC docs, and controls standards.
• Assist with capital projects and automation upgrades.
