Job summary

Sika Marion Operations is seeking a Controls Engineer to implement and support automated processes focused on PLC-based control systems, robotics, HMIs, and production equipment.

You will design, program, troubleshoot, and maintain control systems, configure drives and PLCs, tune PID loops, and manage projects from start to finish, collaborating with operators, R&D, QA, and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical preferred).
• 3–5 years experience in manufacturing with automation, PLCs and packaging equipment.
• Must read, write, speak English; good math skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC-based control systems.
• Configure and troubleshoot VFDs, servo systems, safety PLCs, distributed I/O.
• Tune PID loops and optimize process control strategies.
• Manage projects from start to finish including CARs with budgets and timelines.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operators, R&D, QA, and maintenance.
