Job summary

Sika Schweiz AG (Group) is seeking a Controls Engineer to support and advance automated processes at the Marion Operations. The role centers on maintaining PLC-based controls and robotics integrated with production equipment, under the supervision of the Maintenance & Engineering Manager.

You will design, develop, program, troubleshoot, and optimize control systems, configure drives and networks, review schematics, and drive improvements in safety, ergonomics, quality, and productivity across

Qualifications

Experience with PLC-based controls, HMI, robotics, and machine vision systems.

Responsibilities

Actively participate in the Sika SAFE Program and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
Design, develop, program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC-based control systems, HMIs, robotics, and industrial networks.
Configure and troubleshoot VFDs, servo systems, safety PLCs, distributed I/O, and industrial communication networks.
Interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and equipment specs.
Tune PID loops and optimize process control strategies for manufacturing equipment.
Lead projects from initiation to completion including CARs with budgets, timelines and status reporting.
Implement changes to production processes and equipment to improve output, safety, ergonomics, quality, and cost.
Review layouts to optimize performance and drive improvements across operations.
Mentor and train others in automation technologies.
